Teenagers nowadays

Well, since I haven't updated my blog for a long long time, I'll add a new one now to keep it "fresh".

So, what am I going to blog about today? Hmmmm...how about teenagers then?

I just opened my facebook just now and by excluding the applications updates (at the homepage), all I saw was the status updates from my facebook friends. "Stupid", as most might say, "status updates are just plain normal in facebook, I mean that is what you do in social networking sites, do you? Then what is so special about it anyway?"  Well, there is nothing special about it, but what about the contents?

90% of it are about school life, talking about their everyday lives, ranging from homework to teachers and to friends, nothing special, it just brings back memories. However, there are a few posts which makes me really angry. During these two weeks (still ongoing) are the school test weeks in my former high school, and people do expect students to be busy revising their subjects now, especially for Form 5 students. Instead, what I saw was students complaining about not having enough time to study, one even blamed the principal and school authorities for forcing them to take 11 subjects for SPM. Eh, what the hell is "having not enough time"? If you do have the time to update your status in facebook and playing the games there, why don't you use the precious time to revise? If you do have the time to complain and blame others for forcing you to take 11 subjects which are too much to handle, why don't you use the precious time to study for the subjects then? All you know is to complain and complain and complain, blaming others, accusing them, yet you did nothing of improving the situation! What has gotten into you?!

That's why young teenagers (roughly 13-17) nowadays can't really stand the pressure. Frankly speaking, they are spoilt. Look at the newspapers! A bit of caning and punishing are being considered as child abuse (in some cases, however, the teachers are at fault, no offence), then what next?

This system (no. of SPM sub) has been going on in our school for a long time, so why the fuss? If your complaints won't change the fact that you will have to take the examination, then DON"T waste your time standing there doing nothing but just complaining! Go to study!!
